Who actually holds the money?
Not us — ever. Milestone funds are held by licensed, regulated payment partners under their own licenses, named on every engagement. PRO coordinates the release rules both parties accepted; the regulated partner holds and moves the money.
What does it cost, really?
Nothing to invite, agree, or sign — if money never moves, you never pay. When a funded milestone releases, PRO takes 2.5%, capped at $290 for the entire engagement. A $10,000 project costs $250. The same project on a typical marketplace costs $500–$2,000, and a lawyer-drafted contract alone runs $1,200+.
What happens if we disagree?
The agreement both sides accepted includes the resolution path — revision rounds, then a symmetric dispute process over funds that are already secured. That’s the crucial difference: you’re resolving a disagreement about money that exists, not chasing money that may never arrive.
Is this a marketplace? Will I be competing for jobs?
